READ CAREFULLY: The video will be upscaled and restored using advanced AI models to the selected resolution (default is usually around 1200x900 for VHS). This type of restoration is best suited for VHS and Camcorder quality video. It is a good balance between a more natural looking high quality video without being too over processed that a jump from VHS to Ultra 4K can create which ends up looking slightly unnatural. We manually process each clients request to ensure we deliver you the maximum quality results possible. Other services use generic AI models and offer little guidance. We have a suite of AI models and parameters that we tune specifically for each clients content and are always available to offer expert level guidance on your journey to the best video quality
LARGE PROJECTS: For large restoration projects contact us directly for special accommodation and pricing.
AI upscaling and restoration is NOT perfect and takes significant processing time. Please review our sample images in our samples gallery to help set your expectations. If a person's face is blurry and unrecognizable in the original video, then the AI will not be able to recognize it either. However, the AI will try to reconstruct a normal looking face for these blurry segments but it may not be a familiar face.
Processing times vary greatly depending on customer demand and video quality. Once in the queue, each minute of video can take up to 2 hours to process.

Q: What is the difference between upscaling and restoration services?
A: Upscaling is the process of increasing the resolution of your videos by generating more pixels based on the existing frames. Upscaling works best with video that is already good quality and does not modify the individual frames too much but just increases clarity greatly. Restoration is a more forceful process which modifies the frames of a video much more than a simple upscale. It can fix blurry lines in a video but also correct many visual anomalies like compression artifacts image grain in dark areas or even blurry faces and objects. The AI models we use for restoration are very complex and take much longer to process the video.
Q: Is there a limit to the length of the videos I can restore?
A: There is no limit to the length of videos we can restore for you. Although processing times will increase the longer the video is, our servers can handle any length of video.
Q: Is this service for VHS videos only?
A: Not at all! Any type of video format can be restored whether it is VHS, old smart phone videos, DVDs, Sports Event recordings, even modern HD videos have room for enhancement to 2K and 4K resolutions.
Q: How can I know if my video is a good candidate for restoration?
A: Free 10 second samples are available to new customers on request by contacting us. If already purchased, our team will review the video and if we feel it is not a good candidate for restoration or may not result in satisfactory quality we will contact you right away to discuss options or refunds. We are dedicated to help you restore your videos using our expertise, this is not a trial and error approach like some other services offer.
Q: What is 60 FPS exactly?
A: Video is just a bunch of pictures shown one after the other very quickly - FPS is how many pictures are in 1 second of video. Most videos, shows, and movies are filmed at around 25-29 frames per second, increasing this to 60 frames per second creates a very smooth video that almost seems life-life. Increasing frame rate to 60 FPS is subjective and is not objectively better than a lower frame rate - it is a personal preference. If you are unsure if a higher frame rate is right for you, check out our sample videos or contact us and we can help guide you.
Q: How quickly can I expect my restored video to be delivered?
A: Upon placing an order we will contact you with an estimated time of delivery. Since we use a very large AI model to restore the videos each minute of video takes our systems approximately 2 hours to restore. Videos around 15 minutes in length are generally delivered in 1-2 days.
Q: How will I receive my finished video?
A: Once your video is enhanced, you will be notified via email and provided with a secure and private download link to download your finished video. This link will remain available for 30 days starting from the time of email delivery. If you have any issues at all or need assistance downloading your video, please contact us as we are happy to help!
Q: What if I do not like the result?
A: Please get in touch with us! We offer first time customers one full refund if they are not satisfied with the results and are happy discuss options. Each video reacts a little bit differently to the restoration process. If you are a first time customer you may also request a free 10 second sample so you can see what we can do!
